Trinity Theological College

Trinity Theological College has held an agreement with the Reformed Theological College since 7th September 2018. This affiliation allows the college to offer a Certificate in Theology accredited with the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).

The college has designed a curriculum for a Diploma in Theology and a Bachelor of Theology, and is seeking affiliation with Bible-based theological institutions willing to offer these courses while it develops its own accreditation with NCHE.

Trinity is rich with qualified lecturers holding Bachelors, Masters and Doctorates in Theology, with wide experience in theological training.

Trustee

The Most Rev. ++ Christopher Lwanga Tusubira (Uganda), Co-Presiding Archbishop of the Worldwide Anglican Church, is the college's trustee. His qualifications include a Certificate in Theology from Uganda Martyrs' Seminary – Namugongo, a BA in Theology from Uganda Christian University, Mukono, a BA in Social Sciences (Social Administration) from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Education from Ngeta National Teachers' College.

Visiting Lecturer

The Most Rev. ++ Dr. Jan Beaderstadt (USA) serves as a visiting lecturer. He is Educational Adviser and Apostolic Nuncio for the Co-Presiding Archbishops of the Worldwide Anglican Church, and Seminary President and Bishop for Education Development with the Church of the Himalayas.

St. Agnes Christian Education Center

St. Agnes Christian Education Center (SACEC) strives for academic excellence in an environment built on current best educational practice, celebrating and worshipping God as the centre of life. Students take part in traditional Episcopal worship, religious education and service-learning. SACEC is registered in Uganda as an institution of education and is a member of the Worldwide Anglican Church.

Its foremost mission is training teachers. To date the Center has trained many teachers now serving across all districts of Uganda, as well as in Rwanda and South Sudan, through its School of Education at the main campus at Wamala in Wakiso District and its branch at Bwaise, Kampala. Clergy of the Worldwide Anglican Church are trained within its School of Theology.

SACEC also runs three primary schools — at Nakitolo in Mityana, Kangulumira in Luweero and Bwaise in Kampala — providing education to over 100 orphans and their families. Children of all faiths, and of none, are welcome.

Jesus Seminary of the Himalayas

Founded in 2017 by the late Dr. George P. Pierce, founding bishop of the Church of the Himalayas, the Jesus Seminary of the Himalayas trains priests, deacons and lay leaders in the Anglican tradition. Based in Kathmandu, Nepal, its programmes accept students from around the world with a focus on developing nations, and are open to all who profess the Christian faith and adhere to its Statement of Faith.

Its instruction blends Word and Sacrament with a Pentecostal emphasis, drawing on Scripture and ancient Church tradition to form dynamic leaders who make disciples for Jesus Christ.

Courses of Study

Offered through the Jesus Seminary of the Himalayas.

Doctor of Ministry (PhD)

An independent study programme of three to seven years under an assigned adviser, guided by Dr. Jon Ruthven. Admission requires a Master's degree in Theology or Ministry. Taught in English.

US $500

Master of Divinity

A three-year programme of 30 modular courses averaging three weeks each, taught by both native and visiting instructors in English. A Bachelor's degree in any subject is required.

US $12 registration + US $10 per module

Basic Level Training

A 20-week programme for pastors and priests with little or no formal theological training, taught weekly in the local language by native instructors across 20 subjects from theology and preaching to leadership and disciple-making. Graduates receive a certificate of achievement.

US $10 for all 20 weeks (plus textbook)
